1. About OG1 and these Terms
OG1 is the professional identity platform built for sports. We provide tools for discovering, claiming, maintaining, and sharing professional profiles; exploring people and organizations; publishing professional content and endorsements; and using supported relationship, communication, and organization-management features. These Terms govern the services we provide through og1.app, app.og1.app, and other interfaces that expressly reference these Terms (the "Services"). "OG1," "we," "us," and "our" mean the operator identified above.
You agree to these Terms when you affirmatively accept them through our account, profile-claiming, endorsement, or other agreement process. Where applicable law recognizes another method of acceptance, these Terms apply through that method only to the extent legally enforceable. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use features requiring agreement.
A person or organization does not become a user, enter a contract, consent to marketing, or authorize publication merely because OG1 creates a directory record about them. The existence of a record, receipt of an invitation, silence, and a request for correction or removal do not constitute acceptance of these Terms.
The User Profile and Endorsement Service Agreement supplements these Terms for users who accept it. Our Privacy Policy describes information practices and is not a blanket consent to every form of processing. An organization purchasing services must enter a separate agreement or order form. A signed agreement controls a direct conflict concerning the services it specifically covers, but does not transfer an individual's profile to an employer or waive another person's rights.
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter this agreement to create an account, claim a profile, or submit an endorsement. You must provide accurate account information, use credentials you are authorized to use, and keep your access information secure. Notify us promptly at support@og1coaches.com if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for your own actions and for access you authorize, but not automatically for activity resulting from OG1's failure to meet its legal obligations.
You may claim only your own profile or act for another person through a process OG1 expressly permits and with that person's valid authorization. Organizational administrative access requires authority to act for that organization. An organization name, school email address, or staff-directory listing does not by itself establish authority to bind an institution, license its marks, or control another person's account. We may request proportionate evidence, limit access during a dispute, or revoke access obtained through impersonation or misrepresentation.
The ability to browse public information does not authorize account creation or content submission by someone who does not meet these requirements. Rights requests remain available regardless of account eligibility.
3. Public professional records and profile status
OG1 may assemble professional records from publicly available professional information, information submitted by individuals, and information supplied by organizations or other permitted sources. A record may exist before the person it concerns has registered, claimed it, reviewed it, or approved its contents. Records may be incomplete, outdated, or associated with the wrong person or organization.
An "unclaimed" profile has not been taken under the control of the person it represents through OG1's claiming process. A "claimed" profile indicates that the claiming process has been completed and profile-management access has been granted. It does not, by itself, independently verify every statement, identity attribute, credential, employment relationship, achievement, or endorsement.
A "quality profile" is a completion and presentation designation based on OG1's published criteria, where available. It is not a professional license, certification, background check, fitness determination, or guarantee of professional performance. Any separate verification designation applies only to the specific matter and process expressly described with that designation.
In OG1's product language, a "public professional record" means a publicly accessible professional-information record. It does not mean an official government record, an institution-certified personnel file, or information that is necessarily free of privacy, copyright, trademark, or other legal restrictions.
4. Profile control, ownership, and portability
After an authorized claim, you can manage the supported portions of your profile, subject to these Terms, other people's rights, and our integrity and safety processes. You retain any rights you hold in the content you submit. OG1 does not acquire ownership of your name, likeness, professional identity, or underlying career merely because your information appears on the Services.
References to "owning" or "keeping" your profile describe individual control and career portability within the Services. They do not give anyone exclusive ownership of historical facts, other people's content, institutional marks, or OG1's software and database structure. They also do not promise perpetual operation, permanent URLs, unchanged functionality, or storage without limitation.
Changing employers or leaving an organization does not, by itself, transfer your account or claimed profile to the organization. An authorized organization administrator may manage its current roster and organization page, but may not take ownership of your profile or falsely rewrite your professional history. We may review conflicting claims, distinguish current from historical affiliations, and restrict disputed information while it is assessed.
5. Public visibility and communications
Public profiles, public organization pages, published endorsements, and other public content may be accessible to people without an OG1 account and may be indexed by search engines. Before publishing, consider whether the information is appropriate for a public professional audience. Use only the visibility controls actually offered for that feature.
Public content may be shared through links, screenshots, search results, or supported exports. Removing content from OG1 does not guarantee immediate removal from independent websites, previously downloaded copies, or search-engine caches. This limitation does not excuse us from fulfilling our own deletion, correction, notification, or assistance obligations under applicable law.
Direct messages are intended for their recipients, but recipients can retain or redistribute them. Do not use the Services to transmit confidential employer materials, protected student or medical records, financial account credentials, or other information you lack authority to share. Our access to and processing of communications are described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Your content and the limited license you grant
"User Content" means content you upload, submit, send, or publish through the Services, including profile text, images, videos, documents, posts, comments, and endorsements. You must have the rights and permissions necessary for your submission and its intended use. Being pictured in a photograph does not necessarily mean you own the photograph's copyright. Access to employer or school materials does not necessarily include permission to republish them.
You grant OG1 a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, display, format, resize, and technically adapt your User Content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Services and operate the specific features you use. For public content, this includes public display, ordinary discovery within OG1, search-engine accessibility, and sharing or export features you enable. For nonpublic content, the license is limited by its intended recipients, applicable settings, the Privacy Policy, and law.
We may sublicense these rights only to service providers to the extent necessary to perform those functions for OG1 under appropriate restrictions. This license does not authorize selling your identity, creating a fabricated endorsement, presenting you as an OG1 spokesperson, or using your name, image, voice, or content in standalone advertising without a separate permission or another valid legal basis. It does not itself authorize training a general-purpose AI model on User Content.
The license ends when the relevant content is removed from the Services, except for limited retention necessary to comply with law, resolve disputes, protect security, maintain permitted backups until deletion, or preserve copies another user lawfully retains within an ongoing feature. Retained copies remain subject to applicable restrictions and may not be republished simply because retention is permitted. Rights in pre-created information obtained independently of you do not arise from this license and remain subject to applicable law and our record-removal process.
7. Endorsements and professional representations
An endorsement must reflect the endorser's genuine experience and honestly held views. You may not invent a speaker, impersonate another person, fabricate a relationship or achievement, or present AI-generated or scripted praise as an authentic statement from someone who did not make it. Assistance with editing does not excuse an inaccurate or misleading submission.
Disclose a material connection that could affect how a reasonable viewer evaluates an endorsement, including compensation, gifts, a family relationship, employment, or another relevant benefit. Do not offer an incentive conditioned on a particular positive or negative sentiment, coerce an endorsement, or retaliate against someone for declining to provide one.
Published endorsements may be selected or approved by the profile owner. They are not necessarily a complete set of comments received, an independent survey, or OG1's assessment of the professional. Profile owners may decide not to display an endorsement, but may not materially alter it or misrepresent its context. An endorser may request correction or removal through the record request form. An organization or profile owner's approval does not override another person's rights.
Fictional content belongs only in clearly identified demonstrations, not in live records, authentic endorsement collections, adoption statistics, or claims about an actual person's performance.
8. Schools, organizations, and third-party marks
OG1 is an independent platform. Except where we expressly identify a specific authorized relationship, OG1 is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any school, university, athletic department, conference, league, association, team, governing body, or other organization referenced on the Services.
A directory listing, organization page, logo, staff association, claimed individual profile, or link to an institution does not, by itself, establish a partnership or institutional approval. An individual's use of OG1 does not mean their employer uses or endorses OG1. Authorized organization administration and a commercial partnership are separate statuses.
Third-party names, trademarks, logos, and other marks remain the property of their respective owners. They may appear to identify organizations or provide professional context. Their appearance does not grant you a license, establish OG1's ownership, or represent that a particular use has been approved by the rights holder. Our notices do not replace permissions or other legal requirements applicable to a specific use.
9. Illustrative marketing and demonstrations
Screens, profiles, videos, and other materials expressly labeled "demo," "illustrative," "fictional," or "example" are product demonstrations. They may contain synthetic imagery, fictional personas, sample employment histories, example endorsements, and illustrative activity or metrics. Such content is not evidence of actual users, actual employment relationships, customer adoption, institutional partnerships, or achieved results.
Live professional records are distinct from fictional demonstrations. A general demo disclaimer does not classify all people or information on OG1 as fictional. Where a demonstration includes an actual institution's name or mark, that reference does not make the fictional persona an employee, representative, or affiliate of that institution.
10. Acceptable use
Use the Services lawfully and for legitimate professional purposes. Do not impersonate others; submit materially false or defamatory information; infringe intellectual property or privacy rights; harass, threaten, exploit, or discriminate unlawfully; disclose protected or confidential information without authority; or post unlawful or sexually exploitative material.
Do not compromise accounts, bypass access restrictions, interfere with security, introduce malicious code, conduct unauthorized bulk extraction, spam users, or use information to facilitate stalking or other harm. Do not resell restricted access or scrape, republish, or train AI systems on content in violation of applicable law, these Terms, or permissions that bind you. These restrictions do not prohibit rights expressly protected by law, lawful security research authorized by OG1, or good-faith complaints and reviews.
Do not use the Services as a regulated background-screening or consumer-reporting product, or obtain or furnish a consumer report through OG1, unless a separately authorized offering and all required legal safeguards are in place. Ordinary professional discovery does not authorize unlawful employment screening, discriminatory decision-making, or decisions based on fabricated or unverified information. Labels and contractual restrictions do not eliminate statutory duties that actually apply to OG1 or a user.
11. Corrections, reporting, and removal
You may report inaccurate information, impersonation, privacy concerns, intellectual property issues, misleading affiliation, or other problems through the record request form or support@og1coaches.com. A person may request correction, restriction, or removal of an entire record without creating an account, claiming the record, buying a service, or agreeing to these Terms.
We may request information reasonably necessary to locate the content, understand the issue, and confirm identity or authority where appropriate. We assess requests under applicable law, the rights involved, available evidence, and our published Record Correction, Removal, and Intellectual Property Policy. Measures may include correction, annotation, restricted access, removal of particular materials, temporary suppression, or removal of a record.
Not every report requires removal of every related statement, and we do not promise that each discretionary request will be granted. We will honor applicable legal rights and explain material limitations or denials where required. We may act promptly on credible safety, impersonation, or rights concerns before completing a broader review. A good-faith request is not an admission by either party.
12. Intellectual property and complaints
OG1 and its licensors retain their respective rights in the software, original design, branding, and other protected elements of the Services. No provision claims exclusive rights in unprotectable facts or another person's intellectual property. You receive only the limited access rights reasonably necessary to use the Services as permitted.
Copyright notices and counter-notices should be sent to the designated agent identified in our Record Correction, Removal, and Intellectual Property Policy. Trademark, likeness, and general accuracy complaints should use the corresponding reporting channel; they are not automatically DMCA notices. We may remove material and terminate repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. Nothing in these Terms represents that every OG1 activity qualifies for a statutory safe harbor.
13. Free profiles and separate paid services
The core individual profile service is currently offered without a subscription fee. You do not owe a fee merely because a record exists about you, and OG1 does not charge for submitting a correction, removal, or privacy-rights request. We will not convert your account into a paid subscription or charge a payment method without your affirmative agreement to the applicable paid terms.
Organizations may purchase services under separate written terms. Organization fees do not transfer ownership of individual profiles. Any future optional paid individual feature must disclose its price, billing schedule, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms before purchase. These Terms do not establish an automatic renewal or a permanent "free forever" commitment.
13.1 Organization plan billing, cancellation and refunds
Unless a signed organization agreement or order form says otherwise, this section applies to the paid organization plan. Coaches and sports professionals never pay for a profile. Only the organization pays.
We bill the plan in advance each month, by card, through our payment processor Stripe. An organization administrator can cancel at any time in Settings > Org billing, through the Stripe billing portal. After you cancel, the plan stays active until the end of the paid month. Then the paid administrator tools lock. We do not delete your data.
Payments are non-refundable. We give no partial or prorated refunds, except where the law requires them. If a payment fails, Stripe tries it again. The administrator tools stay on during these retries. If the payment still fails, the plan ends.
For billing questions, email support@og1coaches.com.
14. Availability, changes, and third parties
Features may change, be interrupted, or become unavailable. Unless separately agreed in writing, OG1 does not promise a service-level percentage, uninterrupted access, a fixed feature roadmap, permanent storage, or a particular career, hiring, recruiting, or financial outcome. We will provide legally required notices and honor applicable commitments when changing or discontinuing services.
Third-party links, embedded media, authentication services, and integrations may be governed by their providers' terms and privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement. You are responsible for reviewing a third-party service before using it. OG1 remains responsible for its own obligations and representations.
15. Moderation, suspension, and account deletion
We may review reports and restrict, remove, or decline content or access where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, address unlawful activity, resolve an authority dispute, protect people or the Services, or comply with law. We do not promise to review every item before publication. Where appropriate and lawful, we will give notice of a material account restriction and a way to request review at support@og1coaches.com.
You may stop using OG1 at any time and request account deletion through the request form or support@og1coaches.com. When you request account deletion, we remove your claimed profile from public display and process associated deletion under the Privacy Policy, subject to applicable rights and limited lawful retention. We do not treat account deletion as permission to republish your deleted submissions as a new unclaimed profile.
An unclaimed record can be addressed separately through the record request process. Closing an organization's administrative account or removing a staff member from a current roster does not, by itself, delete the individual's account. Effects on independently published third-party content, backups, and off-platform copies are explained in the Privacy Policy and applicable request response.
16. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICES AND INFORMATION ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR OTHER WARRANTIES NOT EXPRESSLY PROVIDED IN THESE TERMS OR A SIGNED AGREEMENT.
OG1 does not warrant that every record, endorsement, association, or statistic is accurate, complete, current, or independently verified. Use appropriate independent checks before relying on material information. We do not warrant another user's conduct, an institution's approval, or a particular professional outcome. These statements do not excuse unlawful publication, misleading advertising, failure to honor rights, or duties that cannot legally be disclaimed.
17. Limits of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OG1 AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE UNDER THIS AGREEMENT FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOST PROFITS OR OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM THE SERVICES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OG1'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO A USER BOUND BY THIS AGREEMENT FOR CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF US$100 OR THE AMOUNT THAT USER PAID OG1 FOR THE AFFECTED INDIVIDUAL SERVICES DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. A SEPARATE SIGNED ORGANIZATION AGREEMENT MAY PROVIDE DIFFERENT LIMITS FOR ITS PARTIES.
These limits do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or liabilities and remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. They do not bind someone solely because OG1 published a record about them. Mandatory consumer, privacy, intellectual property, and other protections remain effective to the extent applicable law requires.
18. Responsibility for third-party claims
To the extent permitted by law, a user bound by these Terms will indemnify OG1 against reasonable losses, damages, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, awarded or agreed in resolution of a third-party claim arising from that user's unlawful content, knowing impersonation, unauthorized submission, or material breach of these Terms. This obligation does not cover OG1's own unlawful conduct or a pre-created record the person did not submit or authorize.
OG1 will provide reasonably prompt notice and cooperation and allow reasonable participation in the defense. No settlement may impose an admission, nonmonetary obligation, or unreimbursed payment on a party without that party's written consent. This clause does not restrict protected complaints or nonwaivable consumer rights.
19. Governing law and disputes
Subject to mandatory laws protecting you, these Terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING STATE], excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Courts in Orange County, California will have jurisdiction over contractual disputes except where applicable law permits or requires another forum. Nothing prevents a permitted small-claims action, urgent protective relief, a report to a regulator, or exercise of a statutory right.
We encourage you to contact support@og1coaches.com to try to resolve a dispute informally. That request does not shorten a filing deadline or require you to delay urgent or legally protected action. These Terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or a class-action waiver.
20. Updates and general provisions
We may update these Terms prospectively. We will identify the effective date and provide reasonable notice of material changes to affected account holders, using email or a prominent in-product notice. Where renewed acceptance is required, we will obtain it. A revised posting does not retroactively change an existing dispute or create agreement by a person who has never assented.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective to the extent permitted by law. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer an account or this agreement without authorization. OG1 may transfer this agreement in connection with a merger, reorganization, or sale of relevant assets, subject to applicable law, privacy commitments, and notice obligations. Nothing creates employment, an agency, or a partnership between you and OG1.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination survive only as needed for their legitimate purpose, including accrued payment obligations, limited lawful retention and licenses, intellectual property, dispute resolution, and enforceable liability provisions. These Terms, incorporated agreements, and any applicable signed agreement constitute the relevant agreement for the Services they cover.
